Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

Hello from VA Beach! CT4V BW

That's quite a surprise, congratulations!!! Kinda odd that it just showed up without much notice, but either way, that's great. Welcome to the club. The break in period is the worst part...

Feel free to PM me when you're back in the triangle!

It was broken in 3 days after purchase 😁 the 400 mile drive home helped get her there. Will definitely say hey! As soon as I get back C&C Raleigh and Morrisville are on my to-do list

C&C VB is always a good time. One of the few things I miss from that area, plus my buddies coordinate it.

Funny thing is I bought a 4BW that came from VB. No idea why it got sold with less than 100 miles and ended up in a Ford Dealership in Killeen TX.

Also, time for a JB4 tuner. Figured another 100whp on it or so and that car would be full tilt. More than enough power at that point without compromising the suspension and brakes.

Haven't been to C&C VB yet! They stop running it in the winter. Weak beach people smh. I hope to hit one before I head back to NC for sure.

What color? There was a '22 Orange 4BW that Rick Hendrick had for like 12k over MSRP with 1000 miles.

JB4 tuner and downpipes are likely in the future. Honestly, having this car feels like having a liter bike again. It's just soo much for the road. There's nowhere to open it up around here. I merge onto 64 west in 2nd gear, watch the boost gauge shoot up and I'm putting it in 3rd at 70 lol. Down in NC there's so much highway or back country roads. Plus radar detectors are legal. Looking forward to take her back home in a few months.

It was a summit white. Guy bought it from NJ and registered it in VB according to carfax. Some how got traded in and ended up in an auction with 91 miles on it. Thing was one of the original collectors edition 46-111 and had CF1/2.

If you're worried about having radar, get a escort redline. Its spectre radar detector detector proof. Plus only VASP has those, if local PDs find you with one, they usually would just have you take it down. Atleast that was my case having out of state plates being military.

Duly noted. Appreciate that. I have a nice one, can't remember the brand, but held off despite also having out of state plates and being mil. I'm a lame rule follower for the most part.

I'd recommend holding off on the JB4 for now. Wait for Trifecta to finish up their ECU tune instead of going with a piggyback. They have been putting out lots of teaser info about it, but haven't specified a date for release.

Their website states their MSRPs are changing March 1st, though...

I mean as long as you dont speed on 58 towards Emporia, you'd be good. They got me there for doing 9 over.

Meh, I take what Trifecta say with a grain of salt. They managed to crack the C8 but made minimal gains? I take that as hard to believe that GM got the tune to full tilt timing that they didnt leave anything on the table for reliability. Almost sounded like they managed to see the tables but the PCM ignored the changes they tried to implement.

Damn, what happened to 9 over and you're fine, 10 over and you're mine?

Emporia's main source of income is traffic tickets.

If you're ever going down I-95 in southern VA just do the speed limit. They got me a few years ago for 10 over despite rolling with the speed of traffic. Me and two other guys were pulled out of a pack of 12 or so cars.

I pulled the "I'm on holiday leave headed back to base officer" and he replied "oh nice, I used to be stationed at Bragg in the 82nd" walked away. Thought things were cool. Comes back with a $250 speeding ticket and kind advice to report it to my command lol

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt 'til I see numbers, but you make a good point.

Buddy of mine, in a RHD S13 and I in my C6Z were heading from VB to NCCAR for a track day. I got pulled over, got my ticket. Buddy decide to wait for me a mile or so down the road. Cop catches up to him and proceed to give him a ticket too. Funny part is cop walks up to the left side of the car and tries to give his GF a hard time and ticket. Took the cop a few to realize the steering wheel is on the other side of the car.

Got a lawyer who got it changed to a bad speedo charge but still paid the fine but no points.

Should have gotten a lawyer. I was in my Z3 hoopty and the speedo definitely needed re-calibrated. Got sent to good ol' afghany-land shortly after so dealt with the insurance increase for 3 years.
