Several years ago, I’ve posted here about the Magic Pads (part 1) at the Camaro6 forum which were one of my favorite track pads for my 6Gen Camaro – Raybestos ST43. A lot have changed since then and Raybestos started to disappear from the track market. This review is based on the CT4 Blackwing...
So…I’m getting ready for a weekend at VIR. This time, I wanted to follow the 4BW owners manual and perform a track alignment. The owners manual direct you to punch some pins on the strut tower to achieve max camber ( see attached pic). To my surprise this procedure doesn’t really do anything...
Did anybody confirm the rear pad size for 4BW?
I confirmed that the front size is 1405 ( same as 6 pistons Camaro/C7 Z06) but not sure about the rear size.
Thanks for your help.
Hi everybody,
I've been in touch with a Girodisc rep regarding development of front rotors for the 4BW. For those of you that don't know Girodisc manufactures in the USA top notch 2 piece rotors for track (and street) use. Usually you will see some weight savings over stock rotors + their metal...
I’ve just finished a fantastic weekend at Summit Point with PCA. For those of you that don’t know, this is one of the hardest tracks in the country on brakes…think Laguna Sceca hard, since there’s not much time to cool the brakes and you have 140->45 / 115->70 / 100->40 / 115->70 brake zones.
In...
As a former 6gen Camaro, I thought it would be simple to jack up my 4BW. It seems I was wrong. The pinch weld area is very narrow and plastic moldings are in the way. I tried to lift the car with both floor jack and a 2 post lift. It’s not an easy task…
I purchased the ZL1 Addon (Camaro) jack...
I took my car to a race shop for an alignment. My goal was to get -2.0 in the front as this is my daily driver and I was worried about ride comfort and steering 'wondering' with the -2.5 option as seen in the owners manual (removing bolt from the strut tower - similar to Camaro ZL1 1LE - See...
My first track day is coming up. I'm planning on changing the rear diff fluid (per owner's manual's suggestion) after the event.
Does anybody know the GM number for this fluid? OM does not mention it.
Thanks
You might have seen this on other social media outlets. The below website, is the first online store I've found that has some Blackwing parts in their catalog.
I just called and a human picked up right away!

Hi there,
Do you have an online GM parts store you like dealing with?
Clearly price is important, but I’m looking for a responsive customer service as well.
Thanks
I've performed my first oil change for my 4BW yesterday (1500 miles). This is one of the easiest oil changes that you can do.
You can Look up videos on YouTube for ATS-V since it's very similar.
Parts & Tools needed:
Oil filter - PF63 (Amazon)
Oil drain plug - GM 11562588 (Rock Auto)
15mm socket...
Hi everybody. Help please: I cannot get the no lift shift feature on my 4BW. I made sure I’m on the correct rpm ( owners manual says 3000, but I tried 5000 as well). Gas is all the way to the floor. As soon as I clutch in the engine goes to redline and the shift unsettles the car.
Am I doing...
I was able to confirm with my dealer the following part numbers for 4BW front brakes:
Front pads - 85115921
Front rotors (2 sides) 84938186 & 84938187
Enjoy burning your brakes at the track 😉
If you are on the fence about PPF, here's a little story for you: I was on the fence as well. Got my 4BW last week and right away did a ceramic coat. wasn't sure about PPF.
This morning on the highway, a landscaping truck in front of me, dumped hundreds of rocks and pebbles all over....with only...

Hi All,
Simple request to 4BW owners: in order to move forward the process of finding aftermarket wheels, could you please stretch a string on your rear wheel hub/fender and measure how many millimeters (or inches) clearance of a gap there is before a wheel will poke. I'm trying to figure out if...
@Mirza Grebovic and others that might have tried:
As winter approach, we all scramble to find snow tires. For the 4BW there are no options anymore in stock (no 265/275 wheels that will match 245/255 in the front).
This calls for a potential square setup for 18X9 . The question: did anybody try...
