Customers with active Super Cruise service will soon be able to activate new functionality to Super Cruise after their initial vehicle purchase through a Vehicle Software Update enabled by OnStar®, if their vehicle is properly equipped.
This will help provide additional value to customers after their vehicle purchase by offering additional Super Cruise features, including trailering and Automatic Lane Change (if vehicle is properly equipped). All upgrades are delivered through an over-the-air Vehicle Software Update and will be sold to customers at an additional cost.

Note: Certain models already offer these Super Cruise features from the factory and therefore are not eligible for the upgrades.

- At launch, vehicles eligible to receive the upgrades include 21MY Cadillac CT4, CT5 and Escalade models equipped with Super Cruise. Customers will be able to shop for upgrades through the myCadillac mobile app2, on onstar.com or through an OnStar Advisor

- The upgrades will be delivered to the vehicles as an over-the-air Vehicle Software Update
- Available upgrades may include:
- Automatic Lane Change3, when enabled, allows the vehicle to automatically change lanes to move around slower vehicles in its path without input needed from the driver. It also allows Super Cruise to initiate a lane change to the left or right when the current lane of travel is ending or provide space for merging traffic (available on the 2021 CT4, CT5 and Escalade)
- Trailering calibrations that enable use of Super Cruise while pulling a trailer (if properly equipped). Lane change function is unavailable when trailering. Without this upgrade, you cannot use Super Cruise while towing a trailer (available only on the 2021 Escalade)
- Customers who purchase a Super Cruise upgrade can cancel the purchase within 7 days from the date of purchase to receive a full refund3 . The customer should contact an OnStar Advisor by calling (888) 4-ONSTAR or by pressing the blue OnStar button in their vehicle for more information. As part of the refund process, the customer will be required to consent to removal of the upgrade via a Vehicle Software Update on their infotainment system. They will be asked to accept the update within the first 10 ignition cycles
