Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

Sitting in a Deep Ocean Blackwing might damage it if you own a pre-refresh Blackwing

Damn you know this forum is dead when whether a dealer lets someone sit in a car or not becomes the most lively topic.

GM can’t release a new CT5 replacement soon enough.
Especially since the OP hasn't been back since the day after the original post. You guys wore him out. Dead Horse2.gif:ROFLMAO:

I posted about my less than pleasant dealer experience at blackstone cadillac on the vseries subreddit, but figured I’d post it here in case any of you have better stories and partly because I’m still kind of annoyed at the whole thing.

We were in the area when we drove by aforementioned dealer, wife suggested we stop by. Our ‘23’s bumper to bumper warranty is ending late January and she loves the car so much that she wants to either look at extending the oem warranty or maybe look at a new one to trade in for. That’s big because she normally, at best, has tolerated the cars I’ve owned. We pulled up in our 5Blackwing, I DD it everywhere in VMode so it wasn’t quiet. As we started to get our kids out of their car seats, a red CT5 that was pulling out stopped almost in front of where we parked. I thought it was a customer and he either recognized the BW or was wondering why our white CT5 sounded so funky compared to his.

We walked the lot briefly to look at a Typhoon CT5 then headed inside. They had a Deep Ocean BW in the showroom. Guy from red CT5 works there and walked in and asked how he could help us so I told him I was considering extending the warranty on my BW. I noticed the Deep Ocean BW was locked and asked if I could take a peek inside to which the answer was flat out no. I wanted to feel if there were any changed to the clutch or shifter and finally see what the new upgraded interior was like in person. I explained all that and reiterated that I have a BW (he literally saw me pull up in it) and wasn’t asking to drive it. Answer was no, they don’t want to damage the car because it’s soooo rare and valuable and blah blah blah.

Not that it would make it any more justified to blow me off like that if I showed up in a beater or a rental Nissan…but damnit, I literally pulled up in the exact same car! Do I need to pull up in a McLaren F1 to be granted the privilege of unlocking the rare Deep Ocean Blackwing (no precision pack or ceramic brakes on this one!)

Anyone else have any similarly idiotic dealer experiences?
These dealers are terrible. I think the problem is that most of them are re-treaded sales people from said Nissan dealer. They act like the 5BW is a 1 of 1 car that belongs to a sultan. When in fact is just a dealer ordered car because they dont have any customers to actually order one for themselves. Probably because they drove them all off treating them like crap. Ive been all over the country looking for my car and the experience has been consistent. Class-less management, unprofessional sales people. Its even funnier when they have dresscodes so they have to wear ties to look the part, but they still act like kia/hyundai dealer at their core.

Shout out to Cadillac South Charlotte who treated me with respect and sold me a car (I live in Phoenix)

We have a local group with an amazing collection of Hypercars. You may have heard of them. What I appreciate the most about them is their natural propensity to encourage folks to sit in the multi million dollar cars at local shows. I've even seen them offer random people to start them and rev the motor some. They'd laugh at the thought of a BW being this precious. The Hamilton Collection knows what's up!
These are cool people. A guy let my 5 year old son (at the time) sit in his GT3RS that was still running to cool down after he just rolled off the nurburgring smelling of brakes and rubber. Its just a car.

I once gave someone I didn’t know a ride in my Jeep and they crapped their pants. Fortunately, the AutoZone was open, and I went straight there and got some upholstery and fabric cleaner. It’s just a Jeep.

How’d you get them to poo their pants?
It was a singular male that was overly intoxicated with possible substance intake as well. I learned from that mistake.

You gotta find a classier hooker next time, unless that was what you paid for.

Nah, it was Hunter Biden. Never giving him or Joe a ride again.
According to images we've all seen, he knows how to pick them. All the flatulence you had to deal with might be from his blow.

That’s explains why he was wandering around naked by the Mexico border.

The original story is true. My point was in response to “it’s just a car.” While that is true, one needs to expect a human will be capable of every type of human biological expulsion while sitting in said car.

This thread drift warms my taint...and it already struggles with over heating this time of year.
Modern science has a solution for you!

Now pretty much every time I see a Jeep - which is often! - this comes to mind.

Thanks!

Bartact seat covers are a must in a Jeep. Off-roading is a dirty greasy business. If you ride in a Jeep and it’s clean inside, owner is a poser. Same for a Bronco or whatever.

That was a mild situation compared to what I experienced in the hospital when I had a roommate. Within a short period of time I asked for a different room. Then I got my own room for my entire duration. I’ll spare the details, but I never realized a human body could produce such vile materials. If that happened in a car, I would never be driving it again.
