If you are hearing a rattle when going over extended rough pavement when vibrations are repeating - it could be from rear top mounted stop lamp area.

Pop the cover. You will see a plastic frame to which headliner is attached with two clips which are in the recessed holes. Those clips might work themselves out a bit and that causes a gap and plastic on plastic noise.

Push those clips using your fingers or suitable tool all the way in until give is eliminated.

Use felt tape and place strips on all hard plastic areas which could contact the cover you just removed.

Clip the cover back.

For me this noise seemed to come from sunroof switch cluster until I had somebody sit in the back seat and press on the cover.

Thanks for the info. I plan to start to hunt down some rattles. I think the dash has some rattles near the windshield and possibly the plastic around the HUD. I bought some thin foam and a yard of felt.
