Has anyone had PPF professionally installed on their CT5 or gotten a quote for it? I requested a quote for the full car (CT5-V BW) with Xpel Stealth PPF. Including the paint correction and prep, the cost was right at $10k. I wasn't prepared for it being that much, but maybe my expectations were wrong.

Perhaps a little higher than I would expect. But in Florida, there are a lot of shops to choose from.

I agree with Buzzsaw. And it's what I have done on all my vehicles. PPF on the front and ceramic on the rest.

I was quoted around $7000.00 but they want to see the car. I don't think Dark Emerald Frost can have ceramic put on it? They said something about ceramic coating the wrap.

Just did the front bumper and mirror back on my wife's CT4 BW. $650 for Xpel Ultimate plus.
Full hood and bumper quote was $1250.
Hood, bumper, fenders and mirrors $1995.

The quotes I got from other places were slightly higher for the same Xpel Ultimate film.
I used a Spray on graphene coating on her previous car and it held up well. This time around, I've ordered a graphene kit and will do the whole car and the PPF film.

$7000 for my M440 for the full car plus ceramic coat, no paint correction, can't remember the brand, but it was "top of the line" that they carried. Silicon Valley shop that did a lot of porkers

My dark horse matte ppf was straight from the factory from Ford and priced at almost exactly $6,000 which was a reasonably fair value for what you get. I wouldn't have gotten ppf any other way.

I know this is an old thread but what are the best brands of PPF?

Suntek and XPEL. The latter has better hydrophobic properties, but that can be overcome with ceramic coating the Suntek. XPEL is also more adhesive, so when it comes time to remove it, be prepared for paint to come off (or at least the clear coat). Suntek tends to cost less, so replacing it has lower pain levels if it needs to be removed/re-applied.

I have full XPEL PPF on our 5 and our 911 and it will NOT remove paint or clearcoat. We have replaced panels previously. The cost to do the 5 was $8,600

The full PPF with ceramic (Legend) on my Cayman GTS 4.0 was about $7000. I've been quoted about the same (STEK) on my incoming CT5-V blackwing for the whole car.

My new 5BW just landed yesterday. I'm going to wait until October to put on the PPF(Expel) even though the finishes are baked/cured. Bikini kit( front bumper, 22" on hood, front fenders to the mid point, mirrors, and A pillars) was quoted at $1850 and ceramic window tint was quoted at $460, meeting state law requirements.

I did a "track pack" PPF and full tint for about $6k.

I did not do a PPF on my last car (white paint). I bought it used with 30k, and the front bumper was already pock-marked, so I let go. After 80k, the front bumper was sand blasted with black plastic polka dots showing through the white paint all over the place. I'd touch it up a few times a year, but that only made it look good from 6 feet away.
