Working on getting my username changed. Fat-finger!

I borrowed a buddy's BW a few weekends ago and drove it on the highway and countryside. That was such a fun trip. This car can do it all!

I've decided to look for one and of course this is probably the worst time. I'm seeing the Spring Mountain examples pop up which were used at the Cadillac Driving School and have extensive warranty blocks.

I saw one that went 18k miles between oil changes. Lots of others with accidents. I guess I don't need one immediately but my internal clock tells me it's ticking.

Anybody got some advice so I can join the club? And dumb question: are repair parts going to be a problem in the future?

Autotrader search for what you want, and I'm 90% sure you'll find something within your price range and color preferences.

The V6 is very robust and reliable, and parts will always be available.

Cadillac service is not as expensive as BMW and Mercedes, so there is that...

I bought mine before driving it, given all the rave reviews from Chris Harris, The Smoking Tire, Everyday Driver, etc. I have barely 600 miles on it, but I 100% get where you're coming from. These cars are exceptional.

There are a handful of new cars on lots. If you can spend the money, I think new is worth it. The used cars aren't that much less expensive, god only knows how they were treated by the first owner, and as you said, the Spring Mountain cars are hitting the market.

I used visor.vin to find my car (11 miles from me, coincidentally!).

ALSO: If you buy new, I think you get the Spring Mountain experience for free.

If you are a "broken man" for driving a CT4-v Blackwing........wait till you drive a CT5-v Blackwing.....you will be destroyed !
Meh. Too heavy, too big. If you live in Texas or Nebraska or Florida, I’d get it.

If you’ve got roads like we do here, the 4’s footprint and lighter weight win.

All that extra horsepower and torque in the 5BW make up for the few extra pounds. They basically look the same.

Speaking as someone with a 5BW and very happy with it, I actually like the look of the 4 better, I think the rear end is a lot more appealing, but the 5BW is more fun to drive to me. I understand people having differing opinions there but I test drove the 4 and it was great, but the 5 was very much an "I gotta have it" kind of experience.

I'm right there with you on that. I've got a deposit down on a 5BW, even though I also think the 4BW is better looking. I like its proportions better and I think they did a much better job of resolving how the C-pillar came together. But I know I'll be grinning like a fool if I'm ever lucky enough to fire up my own 5BW!

Take your time and you will find something. I started a spreadsheet with the years, then colors, options price etc. It pays to be patient. Many of these dealers will cut you a good deal but only if you know the car has been sitting on the lot for a while. Sometimes one will pop up that's a great deal but that's pretty rare. I spent a little over 2 months watching all the sites but I got the car I wanted at the price I wanted and a great deal too.

Love my CT5 BW so much I actually am considering a CT4BW to add

because it seems like it might be a little more nimble and surprise more people. I loved my CTS V sport which is practically the same engine. Really surprised a lot of people with it.
