CT5-V Finally: CT5-V Blackwing Reproduction Spoilers

CT5-V Model
@00 Scrub ....remove old spoiler, drill two holes (one per side). I don't have PPF on my trunk. You may want to check with your installer. If your doing it, I'd prep, PPF both, then install

Yeah, I think I'll remove and prep for spoiler install and then install it after PPF is done.
Now I just need a way to seal those holes so water doesn't get in during the washing steps. Might be able to find some silicone plugs or something.

@Terrance Speed any chance you could provide a template or a DXF of the mounting holes to aid with the hole drilling?

our spoiler comes with everything needed to prevent water intrusion

I should've been more clear. I meant sealing the trunk lid in between the time when the stock spoiler is removed and I install the EOS one. My detailer will have to wash the car and apply PPF etc before installing the EOS spoiler.

Rubber grommets or vacuum caps. Those will pop in and keep the water out. Various sizes are easy to come by

For the two outer holes that need to be drilled, is there supposed to be some template to use to ensure that we drill the right location? How much of a tolerance is there in terms of making sure the positioning is correct?

No template needed, as the the existing 4 holes provide your reference points. It is recommended you open those up so the studs dont bind. You also want a little lateral movement to ensure it is lined up properly.

I'm guessing this will make a lot more sense once I actually have it in front of me. By the way, I was going through this thread and it seemed like there is supposed to also be a standard weave and a gloss black version, but I only saw the v weave on the website.

yes, it will be very straightforward when you see it.

Gloss black is gone as selling painted products from a distance is too difficult. Color is best applied by your local painter/vinyl shop so you can do quality control. I do have a couple blemished ones at a reduced cost for that purpose if people want it.

Everything else is V weave going forward.
