Everyone loves nearly everything about the new CT4-V Blackwings. All they need is ECM tunability and a more aggressive fiberglass hood. So guess what we’re working on today?

Edit: changed carbon fiber to fiberglass after working on this for the last year.

Anybody noticed that’s a non-painted hood, GM box in the background.
Parts available but no cars!
Is the Blackwing hood any different from the other CT4 variants?

After nearly one year of work, we finally received the first CT4-V Blackwing hood prototype last week and test fit it today. The hood is constructed from fiberglass, with a carbon fiber insert. The scoops are not functional, unless you choose to remove the screws holding the cover plate to the bottom of the hood.

It’s pretty good, but not perfect yet. We need to work on some minor fitment issues and get another prototype produced. If we decide to move forward, customers can work with their local body shops to have these painted to match their cars perfectly.

Projects like this always take a tremendous amount of time and energy. So please understand that we aren’t able to provide target production dates and/or retail pricing just yet.

Stay tuned!

How come the vents aren’t functional? Just curious as the ATS V’s vents were technically functional.

The scoops can become functional in just a few minutes. All you would need to do is remove the screws holding the cover plate to the bottom of the hood.

Looks great! I’d buy one if you ever made a 5BW hood
