So go for a drive for dinner and CarPlay not working. I removed the device from the car Bluetooth, rebooted the phone and the cars info system, then did a pairing again…on my phone it says connected to myCadillac as it should but the car play button is greyed out and when I press it, it says not connected. It was fine a few days ago. Did the aholes do an update that screwed this up? Anyone else have this happen. Note if I press the phone icon on the display, thst works fine. And yes wifi is enabled and it’s talking to the cars own hotspot.

Hasn't happened to me but whenever folks report the infotainment is acting up one of the first things to troubleshoot is disconnect the battery for a bit so it does a full reboot. May be worth a shot before going round and round with the dealer.

So the issue was I had to go to the app to turn WiFi back on to get CarPlay to work. The software update must have turned it off. Typical ahole software engineering.

Also noted that wireless CarPlay doesn't work when an iPhone puts itself into Driving focus mode. Makes perfect sense to me.... :ROFLMAO:

Yes I also had to turn CarPlay back on, in the phone too. So GM and Apple have shitty updates and don’t tell you what they’ve done. Dickheads
