Try deleting any in-car and in-phone "remembered" connections and start from scratch with a new pairing. If all else fails, try a factory reset of the CUE system. ("Return to factory settings" in the "System" menu)
This is my assumption. The mild hybrid systems being used by the Germans are really sophisticated and make for a better daily drive, but they add unnecessary weight and cost from a performance perspective. I think the CT5 (and CT5-V) may get a mild hybrid, but the Blackwing drivetrain will...
One other thing about the blinker: Why on earth is there a delay between flipping the signal stalk and the blinker actually coming on? I've seen a few Cadillacs and the C8 Vette do this. I'm so used to the blinker coming on IMMEDIATELY. Seems like it'd take some adjusting to.
A decent detailer could fix that as well. The AutoDetailing subreddit has some absolute witchcraft on display. Leather filler is amazing.
