I run -2.8 front and -2 rear camber. I do not get any squirminess but I have the precision package which is engineered to eliminate that.
For brakes, since I have CCB, there are no other pad choices. According to the guys at Spring Mountain, the original CCB front pads would not hold up on...
Fantastic work so far. Your follow up with the suppliers is wonderful.
I think you are on the right track with buying an extra harness and using that. As long as the splicing is good then it will be fine to use with or without the spacer. This assumes that the connector can fit through the...
The CCB do not dust on the street but there is a decent layer of brake dust on the wheels after a track day.
My first couple of track days, I left the front tire deflectors on. They need to be removed to help with cooling the brakes. No other cooling modifications needed for the 5BW CCB on...
Carbon ceramic rotors do not warped. They would not be “warped” due to use but could look warped if there was a manufacturing defect which caused the rotor to not be completely flat. GM should obviously replace any defective rotors.
I would have said they just had pad deposits but if you just...
Great news! If you have the male and female connectors, I would not spend time trying to figure out which pins to use. There look to be 21 pins. So just wire all 21 slots and you should be good to go. This assumes the wires have the correct ends to click into the holes in the connectors.
I was thinking that all you need is the wiring harness and not bother with trying to take apart the clock spring to cannibalize the clip. You take the wiring harness and cut the wires to the extra length needed. Then you put blade connectors on the end of each wire. The blades then get inserted...
Thanks for updating us! I was just thinking about this a couple of days ago. Great you heard back from them and they already have a spacer that would work if we can source our own wiring.
Damn that is a lot of wires in that harness. Most companies offer repair wires that have the right ends...
Congrats. The frustration of calling 30 dealerships finally pays off! I heard that Deep Ocean packages are getting hard to get as production gets close to the final 200th one. Hopefully your wait is not too long.
You caught me at the exact right time time. I have the car up on the lift for oil change and brake pad and fluid service. Pic of the car on the lift and also close ups of front and rear jacking points.
