That's a great deal! I'm going to wait and see how things go for you and others before deciding. I'm also waiting on another brand to get theirs ready for sale before deciding.
That sounds FANTASTIC!! Jeez I wish my car sounded like that!
But . . . those hanging down mufflers have bothered me from the day the system was announced and your issue with them today backing up highlights that. Ugh come on, Corsa - redesign that aspect please!
Interesting about the other GM cars having these issues.
My 5BW has the standard iron rotors with Ferodo 2500 pads up front but I did Spring Mountain in a car with the carbon rotors. I was fastest in my class and would be hard pressed to say the carbons were much better in terms of ultimate...
Very few cars that I have bought new have been aligned correctly from the factory. I seem to always need to get them tweaked within the first few weeks (I am a bit of a perfectionist plus I generally like slightly aggressive camber and toe).
In saying this, wearing down the inside edge of a...
I have exactly zero interest in this upgrade. However, to play Devil's Advocate, using the logic of "these cars are so complicated that swapping out any component will cause problems", shouldn't upgrading OE rotors to Girodiscs etc and swapping out pads for G Locs and such cause the ECUs to...
Given AWEs overall great reputation, I am a buyer if it has similar to OE tips. I also hope they can package the mufflers in a way that they don't look like the goofy Corsa ones semi-hanging down on that 5BW above.
This is great information. I have posted elsewhere about noticing this phenomenon in 3rd and 4th and it definitely can be disconcerting. I may start with the SPL arms and see if I need to go any further.
@WONT TAP - any thoughts on this issue or these arms?
Thank you very much for this thread! The liners actually had a surprising amount of movement before securing them earlier today. I didn't see any rub marks anywhere, though.
Too funny! I was actually planning on installing mine this coming weekend (I finally have a lift!). Right after your post showing the screws, I ordered some from Amazon that will be here tomorrow so I can spend a few minutes screwing things in and feeling like a real mechanic under my car.
If you have ever owned a Hellcat powered car, you might understand the allure of the blower whine. It makes the car feel even more like a living, breathing creature.
One thing you might want to consider is what mode you are driving the car in. I found that the "race" modes were super annoying in terms of interference and making the car feel unnatural, despite them supposedly being the fastest on track. I didn't even like the feel of those modes at Spring...
A) what psi are you running?
B) what is the ambient temp?
C) what mode are you driving in?
I'm in Texas south of you and run 32psi with all nannies off. Yes it will go sideways very, very easily, but it will also put the power down decently with a little discretion. You are coming from a huge...
I am actually glad you were wrong because after reading your initial post about the 2500s I was worried maybe I was just feeling 'confirmation bias', foolishly thinking the new pads felt different when they really were identical! I definitely recommend the 2500s if people want better initial...
Hmmmm I have replaced my OE front pads with 2500s from Ken@KNS and the 2500s have much better initial bite. I have run 2500s on Evos, Boss 302s, Evoras. The OE pads on my 2024 5BW had a really soft initial bite more consistent with a luxury car than an ultra high performance sports sedan.
That article mentions the rear end wallow that I would like to eliminate on my '24. Is there a list of the bushings that they took from the 1LE and installed on the '25 Precision Pack?
