Normal behavior of this transmission, as others have said. Some are better than others. My ATS-V was horrifically bad. Fluid change and a clutch bleed improved things quite a bit, but was still notchy and required a lot of effort. My 4bw 1st to 2nd shift is wonderful with just a hint of notchiness.

This kind of oil consumption is completely unacceptable and you should elevate this to GM if you are being blown off by the dealer. Amsoil isnt going to fix it and there is no reason to spend that kind of money on oil when no less quality oils are available at half or third the price of amsoil.

There isn't much to it. All the screws that hold it together are now exposed. Just take a look at it and it will be very obvious.

The bushings wear out very quickly and shifter starts moving around. Creative steel makes bushings that last longer than OEM.

Its a direct linkage, not a cable. The shifter is mounted right on the transmission so yes it will vibrate. I also noticed this characteristic when going from a wrx to an atsv. That's why it is so direct. Nothing to worry about.

Well, I think the fun is in driving the SAME car faster each time. Not modifying the car so it can go faster with the same skill and effort input.

No. You are thinking of the 4wd thing. Its a good idea to keep the circumference of the rears closer to each other than not, because of the dif, but irrelevant on the front.
