    Maintenance Intervals

OOOH, the horrors, I've been scolded by the content/grammar police. I'll endeavor to stop using Don, how will life continue? Sarcasm most certainly intended.

    Maintenance Intervals

Personally, I think 5-7K miles between oil & filter changes is way too long unless you're frequently driving long distances Your call. Don

CT4-V Disappointed after lengthy Test drive

I had only manuals for decades. Being stuck in stop and go traffic with a manual is a major PITA. Modern autos often out perform manuals in every respect. Don

CT4-V Disappointed after lengthy Test drive

I don't understand the OPs remarks either. My 2023 CTV-4 Blackwing automatic has enough low end that I haven't stepped on it at low speed. With half throttle it starts spinning the wheels. Love the car, even gets 32mpg on a 20 mile run. Some downhill but not significant. Don

T-Boned a Red Light Runner in my 5BW 😠 Adios collectible value

Gad you're OK, sorry about the car. Hope things go as well as possible. Sorry law enforcement didn't do something about the non English speaker, possible illegal. Don

    AFM or DFM ?

Thankful for that. I also have a 2022 Kia GT1 twin turbo which has idle stop and go. I really despise it and doubt those who use it get significantly better mileage. Stop for a red light, light turns green, what a PITA. Don

    Maintenance Intervals

I like to baby my cars and I think the information in the owner's manual means you're letting the car go too long between oil and air filter changes. I'd like some inputs. Don

    Garage floor Stains

Your career path was interesting and in some ways similar to mine. I was in the F-4 RIO program for a while, very good on NATOPS not great on salvaging an intercept. Navy ship weapons officer for most of my 21 yrs prior to retirement Went to work for Sandia National Labs, first 9 yrs as a...

    Garage floor Stains

I'm going to wash my Cadillac CTV-4 Blackwing later today. No reasonable person would say it's dirty but I like it clean. Don

Would think it's too late to help, must be applied at construction time. Don

    Garage floor Stains

Well, tried the procedures in ngoni's thread. Used a fairly hot concentrated Dawn Platinum solution. Poured it on the spots, let it sit for 10 min. Vigorously scrubbed the spots and after 10 minutes repeated the process. Outcome, made what looked to be zero improvement. I'll try the wire...

    Garage floor Stains

I'll try what ngoni suggested, just don't feel like spending the $ on the epoxy etc. Can easily afford it but better things to do with my $. Don

    Garage floor Stains

Bet this subject hasn't been discussed. Our home was built in 2012. All the cars we've had are fairly similar size wise. All the cars leave 4 spots where the tires sit, no surprise there. I have yet to find some procedure that will clean those areas. I've tried parts cleaners, Windex...

Is the CT4V Blackwing fun at legal-ish speeds

I really enjoy my 2023 4BW automatic at any speed. Don

CT5 Blackwing 1,200 miles dealership visit!

I too had the differential fluid replaced early on. Doing fluid replacements more often than the manual specifies can never harm and may well help. Don

Am I the only one here interested in vintage vehicles?

How do you manage that? Lots of cars say change the oil every 12 mo even if not driven. Don
