    CEL on Code P1400

Brave adventure buying a known replaced motor. OTOH, probably a great car at a great price. It's interesting to see the 2nd owners showing up on the forum now. Best of luck !! Keep us posted on progress......

    Ouch!!!

Yeah, while you can (mostly) still get your own brand new one, I wouldn't expect anything crazy for used ones.

    Truck tread draws first blood.

Glad its not worse. It is a dreadful feeling seeing it coming and not being able to avoid................my episode set me back about $2K. At least I got a souvenir :)

CT4-V Some thoughts after test driving an auto 4-v blackwing, and asking for some advice regarding manual vs auto

This is exactly where it would get tricky. For us 3-pedal devotees, the BW is a no-brainer. If you don't want to row your own gears, there is LOTS of competition. Many threads posted here give lots of personal experiences with many other cars, mostly from Germany.

CT4-V Some thoughts after test driving an auto 4-v blackwing, and asking for some advice regarding manual vs auto

OP - kinda interesting question. Likely not much helpful advice. I think many of us bought the BW specifically because its available with a clutch. That's what makes it unique. For people who love them, there is no alternate. I can't imagine being OK with the slushbox when a real, 3-pedal...

    Blown Motor

Really sorry to hear the ranks pf blown motors climbing !! Best of luck. Please keep us posted.

    Blown Motor

There is a specified break in period. The tach shows don't go over 4K (? going from memory) for first 500 miles, and first oil change is recommended at 1,500 miles. I followed both. Got 2nd oil change recently per oil life tracker, at about 5,000 miles.

    2023 CT5 Blackwing engine failure

The 2 car strategy is what convinced me $100 for the CT5 was the way to go. It's brand new, and still similar or cheaper than a kid hauler + used fun toy. And you never have to drive a minivan !! And its brand new and under warranty !! Unlike that C6 or older 911..........

Any CELs with Kooks Headers on CT5V BW??

Does anybody know that if CEL is eliminated, will the non-cat cars pass an actual smog test ? I know @WONT TAP offers tunes and the DTC Assassin, so I figure I'll have to do all those if (when :) ) I get the Kooks. There are a couple of other settings I'm very anxious to change, so I think it...

CT4-V blackwing vs cayman gts 4.0 vs z06

No surprise we're all huge fans of the 5BW. As @565565 so eloquently put it............. I caught this thread late, but I am still in shock that @savethemanual is waffling on which transmission to get. My list started and ended with 3 pedal machines. That unfortunately eliminates the amazing...

Can anyone tell by eye if my car looks stock height.

It looks positively wicked though. I love it. Please post update when you add Kooks + exhaust.

    Anyone Experience Issues with CCBs?

That article makes it sounds like the C7 'Vette allowed more Ackerman for the sake of tighter turns in parking lots. There's NO WAY the 5BW has anything like that. It takes more room to turn than probably any vehicle I've ever driven - which unsurprisingly does not include trucks. But I bet...

    Roll Call

I did the Texas mile right after I got m 5th gen Camaro. It was naturally aspirated, so I was hoping for 150 but didn't quite make it. The reason I never considered going back was because I was only able to make about 5 passes after sitting in lines all day. It was stock, so other than taping up...

Anyone installed the Anderson carbon fiber hood on their BW ?

Glad to hear I'm not the only one that considers CF just like any other raw material - it should be covered up with paint !!

Anyone installed the Anderson carbon fiber hood on their BW ?

I did not know there was another CF hood out there. The Florida Cadillac dealer that was offering them was just a wrap anyway - it was 'glass under the CF fabric. This one appears to be all CF. What was the bit about using hood pins instead of the factory hydraulic lifts ? Very anxious to get...

    Selling my Blackwing

Good luck. Hope you get way more than the current bid. Does BAT allow reserves ?

    CT5-V First time post

I ran a one mile event in Texas right after I got my 5th-gen Camaro. I did not expect it to be a drag race, but after the first pass it seemed exactly like a drag race. A full mile is nothing compared to the space you need to reach top speed. I expected to reach 150, but knew that when I didn't...

Community Feedback Needed! Apex Wheels Project ML-10 Survey

I love the traditional cross-spoke look. But I hate the flush look of OEM wheels where this is no lip. I can't find the details now, but I was able to find a nice cross-spoke design with a very nice ~4" lip for my 5th-gen Camaro. I know chrome is out of style, but nobody wants the lip anymore...

    CT5V BW exhaust

Bump for everyone getting giddy about Corsa/AWE "systems". Spend 10% for 200% the experience with your local muffler shop. I'll post audio in a year or two after visiting @WONT TAP to get Kooks + tune. You'll hear me coming through your browser after that. :)

My BlackWing has been relieved of its duties...

Grundy quoted me $1,236/year for $100,000. That's almost exactly what I pay for State Farm, but obviously SF is not committed to a specific value. I'll probably stick with it though.
