    What is this "semi-aniline" stuff?

You can look up "Semi-aniline leather" online to get a better description of it. The reason the cost is so high is that it includes the carbon fiber seat backs. Those are worth substantially more than the leather itself. And they're probably also on constraint until GM's carbon fiber supply...

Made a new ZO6 owner cry today.

I feel like I lost valuable IQ points reading the OP. Sorry for the click. What a crock of shit.

    CT5-V 5BW Wheels and Sensors

Can someone check my work here? I want to get another set of OEM wheels and pressure sensors. I believe these are the satin black 5BW wheels: Front: 84319218 (need 2) Rear: 84319222 (need 2) Sensors: 13538760 (need 4) Sensor nuts: 13581557 (need 4) Look right?

CT5-V Carbon Ceramic Brakes and Track Durability

The pitting is from oxidation, and oxidation happens to CC rotors when they hit a certain surface temperature. They're perfectly functional in that state, but as you say: they nuke pads much faster. FWIW I ran the same brakes on my 2010 ZR1 at the track; have LOTS of experience with them. As...

CT5-V Carbon Ceramic Brakes and Track Durability

Remember that the CCB rotors evaporate from the inside out. So as mentioned, measuring the thickness is generally not the right way to determine their longevity. Weighing them is. And yes, weighing them is a pain in the ass.

Gas Guzzler Tax Added to Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing

They were not. They can't. It's a tax that YOU HAVE TO PAY, as the customer. It's to punish YOU for buying an evil, gas-guzzling pig. It only punishes the manufacturer because they have to add that cost to the sticker which risks turning folks off.

Gas Guzzler Tax Added to Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing

It's a tax. The customer "owns" this one.

Runflats - Are they on the Blackwing?

This is the first GM performance car I've owned since my '96 Corvette that did not come with run-flats. I'm displeased about that, but I understand the financial challenges involved for such a limited production car. Getting Michelin to spin up a specific ZP in the appropriate size along with...

    CT5-V Is PDR a option?

Nothing's changed at all. He's using VLC just like you are, but he's altering the file instead of just playing. The PDR vids have always "just played" with VLC without altering them at all. But if you want them to play in QT, you need to alter the file.

More Aggressive CT5-V Blackwing Carbon Front Splitter

The leading lip of the front fenders.

More Aggressive CT5-V Blackwing Carbon Front Splitter

For those ordering Terrance's splitter, these deflectors won't work with it. They'll only work with the OEM splitter.

More Aggressive CT5-V Blackwing Carbon Front Splitter

In Terrance's specific case, I suspect it's less a monetary value concern, and more of a time value thing.

More Aggressive CT5-V Blackwing Carbon Front Splitter

Had UPS told me that, I'd have someone hanging by their nut hairs. Jus' saying. Those look great and I can't wait to see one of them in my own hands. ;-) The torturous part will be NOT mounting it to the car before the deflectors are also done and shipped.

    CT5-V New Car, Battery Challenges

Update: prior to this afternoon at lunch, the last time I drove the car was Sunday evening. Since Sunday, I've left the key on my nightstand (which I HATE DOING!). Today, the car barked right to life, no problems at all, and the camera mirror was working perfectly. So it might have been the...

How to not suck at driving?

This is basically a non-statement. Of course you're "adding wear" to your car. You're adding it every single time you drive it. Aggressively or not. How much wear and tear is the question. And with "flogging" it'll depend on what you're doing. Aggressive launches? The clutch is going to...

    CT5-V New Car, Battery Challenges

I understand and appreciate the suggestions regarding the tender. But this is a brand new battery and shouldn't require tending at this point in its life. Not unless there's a slow drain on it, of course.

    CT5-V New Car, Battery Challenges

Hey gang - This may end up being a, "take it to the dealer, that's why you have the warranty, you dope!" question, but here goes: new car as of Memorial Day weekend, just turned 800 miles on the odo. Over the past week or so I've noticed two problems when starting the car: It fights with me...

How to not suck at driving?

I've said it before, and I'll continue to say it whenever needed: the folks at SM know how to instruct driving. They're not engineers, know nothing about the engineering or robustness of the cars and components, and shouldn't be trusted with imparting that knowledge. Basically, a long winded...
