If you're not driving it over the winter, then waiting until spring isn't a huge deal. If you plan to drive over winter I would at least try to get the front end, the rockers and behind rear tires wrapped.
PPF on the sills is DIYable if your just trying to do the straight parts and take your...
Coating your wheels should help them come out cleaner at the car wash (without iron remover) and the iron removers won't harm the coating if you decide to use it every other wash for a better cleaning. If you enjoy DIY stuff it's a good way to introduce yourself to applying a paint coating...
I will rephrase that. Most C5 vettes had very hard clear. :-) There's always exceptions. Like BMW's in the early 2000's usually had harder clear but the jet black ones were awfully soft and swirled incredibly easy.
But I agree with the full PPF. It's the same reason my blackwing is getting...
Just a friendly PSA but only use this or any iron remover product on Iron brakes. Do not use on carbon ceramics. You can use it on the wheels of a CCB car if the wheels are removed. It's not good for the CCB rotors.
I have a few friends who use that machine and like it. I tend to use 5" pads as well. I have not used Shine Supply but see them mentioned a lot.
The Black Raven is super soft. Softer then our black Subaru paint was and softer than our black Porsche paint was.
GM used to be known for having...
What are the materials? It looks like a cavas fabric.
The GM floor liners for my wife's car are still backordered and I'm looking for something else. My usual go to is Weathertech.
Haven't driven my car much so I will reply based off my experience owning many mesh style wheels. I coat the wheels with a paint coating which makes cleaning them much easier and love wheel woollie brushes to clean the barrels. I just use a microfiber to clean the spokes. I don't find them to be...
Like @tallSteve said: It's not so simple.
My wife, who is a medical professional, says I am neurotic.
A little more progress over the weekend.
Beauty shot just because I love the tech bronze wheels
HAHA, it has it's pros and cons for detailing. I've had it 10 years now. Worth every penny. I actually just picked up a 4 post for my attached garage. That would work better for detailing (with wheels on) but not as much room in that garage. I also got a bridge jack for the 4 post.
I love the...
Thank you.
I'm ordering some touch up paint. My wife just got a different model Black Raven Caddy so I'm going to need some touchup eventually. I also found two paint scrapes on the drivers front wheel well edge so I need to touch those up and I'm not done with the paint correction so who knows...
I had a little free time last night and worked on more paint correction. I found a nice paint chip on the leading edge of the passenger door where it meets the front fender. The amount of defects I'm finding is ridiculous. I towed the car home in an enclosed trailer from the dealer who left all...
I was removing the front stone guards during detailing and managed to break part of the plastic that holds the white plastic clips. I am trying to find the part and cannot find it online.
It appears to read 84713000RH. Am I reading this wrong? I also need one of the white clips. See pics.
