Almost 30 days in service for electrical issue with no resolution - what's my recourse?

I'm happy for you, and that your back on the road. Also glad to hear Caddy Customer service would have taken care of you if they didn't find a fix.

    Selling my Blackwing

Oddly, not as many looks from the GT as I would have expected. I see you point on the badge delete, but even at shows where I had all badges on it didn't seem to make it stand out.

    Selling my Blackwing

Agreed, I was at a show yesterday and there was a dark emerald frost on the other side and there were crowds of people standing around if, very few walked by my car. I can't believe how many people can't tell the difference between a CTS and a CT-5.

    Taking pictures of your car

I think this angle would work for the 4BW as well.

    CT5-V .

I confirmed on my 5BW there is definitely a bolt that needs to be there and i see no white grease in that spot. I would agree with everyone else who mentioned to change the oil yourself using M1 supercar. Alternatively, you could also ask for the invoice from the service department and see...

I have an appointment to get fitted

Reviving this thread, I'm considering going with a QuickJack and I need it to work for all of my vehicles otherwise I would go with the 6000elx. Were you successful at raising your 5BW sideways with the 5000TLX? If so, any issues with reaching critical maintenance points? It seems the 6in...

What is everyone's go-to wheel cleaner??

That is my biggest hangup. What brushes fit in between the barrel and the rotors with tech bronze wheels? Anyone…?

What is everyone's go-to wheel cleaner??

I had CCBs on my 22. I washed the wheels with regular car soap and a brush when I first bought it. Every other wash after that I used the foam cannon and pressure washer which was more than sufficient to get the dust off. Even the barrels stayed clean.

What is everyone's go-to wheel cleaner??

That’s true, ceramic pads produce little to no dust, fantastic when it comes to that aspect. They also don’t squeal like a semi metallic pad. Ceramic pads also transfer more heat away from the pad and into your calipers and rotors so depending on how aggressive you are on the brakes you will...

What is everyone's go-to wheel cleaner??

I had opticoat professionally installed on my cayman wheels when I first got it, about 10 years ago. Back then I never did the maintenance on the opticoat, I would use wheel cleaners rather than car soap and a brush. This really beats on the coating. About 2 years into having the coating put...

Almost 30 days in service for electrical issue with no resolution - what's my recourse?

The buyback of your lemon. You said it yourself, you’re fed up and you want them to buy the car back. You can wait this out till they uncover what the problem is, and play games but you got a gremlin on the loose and unless this FE comes to the rescue you are going to have to let this car go...

    120th annie shifter

I’m just spitballing, but here’s my thoughts, maybe some of this will help. Option 2. finding the right size medallion/coin from Etsy to produce the face. I’d get a 1/4in (or smaller) brad hole tee nut that is capable of sliding into the shift knob. I would use a 2 part epoxy or...

    120th annie shifter

A photo should be more than sufficient, I’ve had custom jewelry made for my wife several times from a low res photo online and it’s turned out fantastic. They made a wax mold before the final press. I bet a jeweler could easily make something like this. I just did a quick search and there are...

Could this be a clutch issue?

Yellow is normal, brown bad. It may be higher if you’re on a slight incline. Low fluid would cause your issues but if you wanted to try removing some with a syringe and placing it in a clean container case you need to add more later, it might be worth a try. -Put the rear of the car on Jack...

Could this be a clutch issue?

This all sounds logical, but it still could be the synchros, clutch/flywheel or both. If it’s the clutch/flywheel issue it could have damaged the synchros. You can speculate but if you want it fixed you’ll have to bring in somewhere (dealer or Indy shop) Sorry you’re having issues with this...
