CT4-V Blackwing Manual Transmission Engine Revving

I never use Rev-Match and the car does this auto-blipping (never higher than like 1800-2k rpm) only when stopped, in first gear, and slipping the clutch with little or no throttle. Usually when I'm trying to inch forward but feel revving is unnecessary the card does it on its own.

    Personalized license plate

Saw a CST-V Wagon the other day with a "DADILLAC" plate on it... I want that plate now. Still undecided however, NC only allows for 4 digits on any of the custom plates. I am diametrically apposed to any sort of "4BW", "TTV6", or BW references on the plate. She's getting debaged soon and I...

    PDR Audio

Someone had a fun experience of telling a cop they were wrong about their estimated speed and they had a track cam that could prove it lol I've looked at a few back road drives. It's fun seeing all that telematic data. Reminds me of when I'd strap my go-pro to my helmet when friends and I would...

Hello from VA Beach! CT4V BW

Should have gotten a lawyer. I was in my Z3 hoopty and the speedo definitely needed re-calibrated. Got sent to good ol' afghany-land shortly after so dealt with the insurance increase for 3 years.

CT4-V Blackwing Manual Transmission Engine Revving

That's odd. My guess still stands that is is an anti-stall program. My 6MT SS would raise the revs automatically if I slipped the clutch without throttle in stop/go traffic. Although with like 250+ lb/ft of torque at 1200rpm it would roll regardless lol

CT4-V Blackwing Manual Transmission Engine Revving

I don't think it's sticky throttle. Mine will do this occasionally with nominal or no throttle input after the revs have settled. I think it is some sort of anti-stall/hill-assist function that is pre-programmed. I would be curious to know what your mileage is and how warm the engine was? Mine...

    CT5-V 2022 5V Rain Sense operation question

I've played with the dial in rain sense mode and anecdotally, it will increase/decrease speed significantly between ticks.

Hello from VA Beach! CT4V BW

Emporia's main source of income is traffic tickets. If you're ever going down I-95 in southern VA just do the speed limit. They got me a few years ago for 10 over despite rolling with the speed of traffic. Me and two other guys were pulled out of a pack of 12 or so cars. I pulled the "I'm on...

    Blackwings and Watches

All good points. I, hypothetically, would only really carry on long drives. IWB for 4+ hours gets rather uncomfortable. Not allowed to bring one to work so it stays at home otherwise.

    Blackwings and Watches

We'd have to make a separate password protected thread or something. People tend to get butt hurt when you show off certain things. Although, to you fellow law-abiding, firearm owning Americans, I would be curious to see (DM me if you'd prefer) your CC holster set up in the BW cockpit. I've...

Hello from VA Beach! CT4V BW

Duly noted. Appreciate that. I have a nice one, can't remember the brand, but held off despite also having out of state plates and being mil. I'm a lame rule follower for the most part.

    CT5-V 2022 5V Rain Sense operation question

I believe it is part rain sensor part speed sensor. I've had to play around with the rotatory dial thing to "zero" it. Although I didn't realize the shorter line meant slow and the longer meant fast. That feels counter intuitive or maybe I'm dumb.

How many of you with a 4BW or a 5BW actually took one for a test drive before buying?

First I watched every and all youtube videos and read through the forums for a long time. C&D marked the 4 and 5 BW 10/10 for both model years which meant something to me at the time. Test drove a 4V and 5V since those were the only things available locally at the time. Dealer got a used...

Hello from VA Beach! CT4V BW

Haven't been to C&C VB yet! They stop running it in the winter. Weak beach people smh. I hope to hit one before I head back to NC for sure. What color? There was a '22 Orange 4BW that Rick Hendrick had for like 12k over MSRP with 1000 miles. JB4 tuner and downpipes are likely in the future...

    CT4-V Tuning/ Boost controller

Checkout TapoutTuning. I believe they have products that work on the non-BW V models. The JB4 tuner by BergerMotorsports (sold on Tapouts site) should work.

    Steering Feel/Setting

At 1000+ miles now I've begun to notice the difference more. Tour mode the car drives like a honda rental. Track feels far too heavy for daily driving. I only really use Tour when leaving the neighborhood or when I have passengers. I leave it in V-mode when I drive solo. Steering medium...

    Third Brake Light Flasher/Pulser

In the same vein, has anyone gotten a rear facing crash cam setup they'd be willing to share? Got the PDR set to auto record the front at all times (wiped of speed Mr. Police Officer...) but it's the Nissan Altimas and Honda Oddessy's that ride my ass I'm worried about.

CT5-V What don't you like about your CT5-V Blackwing?

I can only imagine how ridiculously quick (and smooth) this is for you 5 owners. The 4BW is fairly tame and compliant until you step on it and watch boost shoot from 0psi to 12psi and all of a sudden you're doing triple digits but it feels like 50mph in the cockpit. I've told my gf several...
