I've had the same indexing request for the sunroof a couple of times as well (I think after an OTA update as I hadn't disconnected the battery either time.)
No yelling, just want to be sure you're aware ceramic is for paint surface protection and PPF is for paint protection. Ceramic won't stop your paint from getting chipped and there are matte finished PPF products if that's a concern. Otherwise, enjoy the car regardless of which way you go with...
Which GiroDiscs? Can you share the mfg part #? Someone else just shared a list of compatible pads including Girodiscs here: KNSBrakes | Products | <!-- -->2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing - Iron Discs
Oh, can't help with that. Mine don't squeal but the high brake dust is an annoyance I'll take to keep the shorter stopping distance you won't get with harder low dust pads.
I track occasionally as well and bought OEM Brembo replacements from RockAuto which tends to consistently be the lowest priced option (even they will have stock outs so sign up for the notification and move quickly when they restock.)
Following. I have the equipment to measure toe and camber adjustments for my 5BW but haven't done it yet (looks straightforward from the YouTube video - famous last words!)
Interestingly enough, I see no mention anywhere that Hennessey is working with the factory controllers. I suspect they are using a piggyback setup as I've only heard of one tuner who has cracked global-b for a Blackwing (4 only and last I read they're still working on cracking the 5.)
The other confounding factor is the newest cars (including BWs) have encrypted networks and are proving to be VERY expensive to crack if you can at all. Combined with the EPA going after after-market tuners, it's not going to be worth it for most tuners to play in this space long-term (I expect...
That motor was produced in such low numbers (1,500?) for a market segment (flagship large luxury sedan) that is even less likely than the mid-sized luxe sedan market to push their cars that I'd be surprised to see significant tuning investments from the aftermarket (especially with Feds and some...
Dealership parts department will typically match online prices so find the lowest cost for both numbers and then have your dealership order whichever is the right one.
If anything ANC is diminishing it! You need to have someone drive your car while you stand on the curb outside when they get on it. You'll probably be shocked.
That fake engine noise is actually your engine. GM uses ANC to remove what they called 'undesirable harmonics' whatever that means (I suspect it's part of why you can hear the supercharger outside but not inside.)
Interesting...mine didn't go out but I noticed an update had been applied to the user interface for maps and other apps. I wonder if you had something go wrong during an OTA update maybe??
