The System style setting is giving me Dark Mode instead of Light Mode. Explicitly selecting Dark or Light gives the opposite. This is with Firefox on a Windows PC and an Android 14 phone.

I wanted a M7 but my knees turned out to be incompatible. Now that the fluid issues have been worked out, the A8 isn't bad.

Mine's an A8 but I have no intention of selling it until I can no longer drive. For sentimental reasons, I wanted a C7 more than a C8, plus the equivalently-equipped C8 Z06 is $40K more than my C7 was.

I did Corvette school in a C7 Z06 the first week of July, with high temps in the 120°Fs, the biggest concern was the car AC cutting out due to water and oil temps. Availability seems to be so challenging that I wouldn't pass on any openings.

I haven't paid any attention to how my 4BW A10 works relative to this, but my C7 Z06 limits revs to 4K if the engine is not loaded to prevent damage. It doesn't matter if your in P or N. It ought to be fine as long as you don't keep it pegged on the limiter for an extended amount of time.

I think a picture of your car is warranted. The parts you have listed are not applicable to the BW. Also, your profile says you own a 2008 4BW, which doesn't exist.

Today, I got a 3.8 on my completely stock 4BW A10.

The 44 recommendation would be for something like a top speed or dyno run where there would not be cornering loads involved, to limit heat buildup and risk a tire failure. There is a lot of heat created due to internal friction of the tire rolling.
