Recently, I've stepped up my efforts to see different 5BW combinations. For me, I've concluded that since I do not want the exterior CF1 / CF2 package, I would pocket the savings and do CF seatback delete.
Regarding seat shape, the mid-level and semi-aniline seem to be identical (my...
On my Cayman, I worked with a local graphics company that specializes in vehicles (but isn't a PPF house). At first I thought I was going do a silver or contrasting yellow color, and the owner suggested the clear, matte material for a 'ghost stripe' effect. He NAILED that choice and also made...
If you can figure out proportions and where to start / stop the matte stripes; I am a fan of that subtle touch.
I did this to my Cayman GTS--and thrilled with how it turned out.
I'm getting very close to having a Blackwing, and thinking about the matte stripes on it--but can't quite work out...
While not on a black-colored car, there is a member who did matte PPF to his Infrared BW...and he has shared many pictures in that thread.
I've come to love the matte PPF. I would think doing the matte treatment on your car would be stunning...and you'll have to post a lot of pictures.
Since my visit to see that Colorado on Friday, I have played with the configurator a lot more. I have been successful in getting it to accept Cyber Yellow WITH the Tan Semi-Analine seat combination. There is no 'mid-tier' tan colored seat option with the CT5. My hope is that I can do a...
To me, this press release document is all Photoshopped...or heavily Photoshopped and made me need to see the color on a very sunny day.
As comparison, it is probably close to BMW's Austin Yellow Metallic...but AYM has more leaning to green, while Caddy's Nitro / Cyber has bronzish tones.
I...
A few pictures (via my iPhone 8) of a Chevy Colorado in Nitro Yellow. If my understanding is correct, this is the same paint code as Cadillac's Cyber Yellow.
Observations:
Not surprised, but the configurator (on several computers) makes it look lighter than it is IRL.
There is a TON of...
Thank you for that expanded detail. I would be looking to go to the mid-level seats on my order. Additionally, I have a Cayman GTS 4.0--also with Bose--and the thought of 'noticeably better' with the AKG in this car is an AWESOME thought.
For @Matt27 , I'm a Seasucker owner and have used it...
@quikag , great write-up and the road car aspect is of particular interest to me. I've found that 3 cars is the ideal number in my fleet, and I just pick-up a 2017 Porsche Cayenne S for the road miles. Ideally the Cayenne would go as a trade-in for the CT5BW, with my only hesitation being the...
Bubbling this thread up, as isn't the word the 2024 production starts this week (July 10)?
Part 2, hopeful that pictures of the new colors on actual cars can get added to this thread in the next 3-4 weeks.
Part 3, who has some good stories about going into a dealer and having an easy...
Getting caught-up on the forum this morning and as 'a yellow guy'...the side shot of the CT4 marketing sheet doesn't get me excited about Cyber Yellow.
What I did think was interesting is the note that Velocity Red will be 'limited availability'. Maybe that's the play for me?
I still want...
...to @Jameson's Viggen and others. Yes, I am looking for only notes about the AKG system. My apologies for the 'shorthand' and not doing 'BW' after all my car mentions.
@Berserker when I was in the CT4VBW, I remember setting bass / treble to flat...then dialing up the bass...but have no...
Two statements and one question:
I've test driven 3 CT4s...and was not pleased with the AKG...in particular it was the bass (seemed non-existent).
To the OP, there is a thread on this forum that talks about adding an aftermarket sub into the trunk of the CT4. It takes up room, but...
As one who is still lurking on the sidelines, I appreciate these write-ups. I'm nudging toward the 5 now...mostly because of the useful back seat.
In particular, great to see the real world MPG, as my car will be used for business trips--and they reimburse at a per-mile rate...and not by gas...
Like @Exia suggested, now time to go find a Chevy Colorado / GMC Canyon so I can see Cyber Yellow. I'm not going to trust the configurator with an accurate rendering.
