Yeah, dashcam is great and all, but was a little too rich for my blood just to get that and a HUD if I'm not going to use the other features. Almost did it, but just couldn't justify it.
How accurate are the codes listed at the bottom? I saw one on mine that made reference to the head-up display, but I thought I got boxed out of that since I didn't want to pay for the PDR and ended up skipping the tech package. Don't want to get my hopes up, but it would be awesome if it still...

Wait... they straight up told you that the local dealerships all got together and colluded to fix prices? I fail to see how that's not a violation of the Sherman Act; it's basically the textbook definition. Perhaps you should drop a dime to the DOJ...
Only way to deal with it is to name and shame. We know who these dealers are, so don't buy from them in the future, and make sure everyone you talk to knows they shouldn't buy from them either. Unless it hurts their wallet, it's not going to sink in.
There was a Ford dealer near me that had a Focus RS parked out front for like two years after they went out of production. Notorious jerks who wouldn't sell it for MSRP or less, even after it was multiple model years out of date. These are awesome cars, but I have a gut feeling they'll suffer...
