Ok finally got some good pics of the blacked out badges on my 5BW. Moved the side V badges from the fender to the doors, and changed all the yellow in the GM black badges to gunmetal to match the rims. I also changed the Blackwing lettering to red to give it a pop. The GM black Blackwing badge...
Used Testor's hobby acrylic paint for models and a syringe with a thin needle. Filled each letter very carefully. Took some time, but came out really well.
Ok I received my chrome "Blackwing" badge from GM..... FINALLY. I changed the lettering from black to red and it turned out really good. I went with the black badges in the end, but am going to sell the chrome ones if someone is interested. Pictures coming soon from the black badge install.

Well the Apex group buy rims finally arrived and the fitment looks really good. I wish Apex's bronze was not brownish. I wanted to do bronze, but the gunmetal looks good.
Front 19x10 ET 20 (3mm spacer right now. Moving up to 6mm or 8mm once I get the extended studs.)
Rear 19x11.5 ET 48
Does anyone know if the 5BW with the carbon ceramic brakes comes with the rear brake ducts and the front bumper dams that you install before track use? I know that there should be brake ducts in the trunk on delivery, but my 5BW did not have them. The owners manual for installing the ducts is a...
The group buy ends today 3/14 for the $400. Discount.
If we can get around 15 people together to put down a $1000 deposit, Apex will make custom offsets for the BW, but without that we would have to run spacers.
Also Apex confirmed that their 18s will fit the 4FBW.
They have a set of the VS-5RS recommended on their fitment guide with the following fitment. I would want to push the front out a few mm if possible though. Maybe ET 15.
Front: 19x10" ET20 with 275/35-19 tires
Rear: 19x11" ET44 with 305/30-19 tires
Can anyone confirm if the group buy has been completed? I am interested to jump on with a purchase for a 5BW. I will pull the trigger on my own in the next week or so if the group buy already has been processed.
No the hoses come with the kit. I paid extra for the nylon braided hoses, but it will come with pretty much everything needed, minus the spacer and the adapter I got from Garage king.
The spacer was around an 1/8th inch that I had sitting in the spare hardware drawer of my tool box. Nothing...
I actually googled it (which I should have done from jump) and am interested. I think I am just going to put the track pads on the Infiniti and send it . That is if it is point by passing. I am not into open passing. I have done it at a few tracks, but a little too risky for me.
I will...
Yes it has to be removed. Sadly it is just to get to the PCV valve. It doesn't have to be fully taken off the block, just lifted up from the front side to get to the PCV.
I uploaded some videos of the routing yesterday. Also attached are the images from the manual for the SC bolt pattern and...
When is this!!! I need a track day.... sadly my Infiniti needs a shake down. I changed the brake system and want to test it at an Autox event before a track day.
Yes that is if you run just a single output catch can. I ran a double output to avoid loss of vacuum at WOT. The second output goes to the CAI to help in that situation. Below is a quick break down of the three lines. I also attached a video running through the connections.
1: Catch can input...
Has any one heard of a "Trim Height Reset" for magride cars? I assume something has to be done to calibrate the system back to the new zero point after lowering the car, but I can't find it in the service manual. The manual reviews how measure trim height to confirm you aren't out of spec, but...
