Keep it a mystery. As far as I’m aware if they shipped you your car it is good. I paid for transport because they were about to put it back in hold status and had it delivered earlier than it should and the car decided it had abandonment issues and didn’t want the rod bearings to be separate...
How many miles are on your car now and is it a 6MT or 10AT. My car is basically identical to yours in terms of oil pressures at idle. I’ll keep an eye on my 75 mph oil psi but in 6th gear it’s barely at 2k rpm and I think it sits at like 43-45 depending on load.
Knock on wood but my new motor...
Got the car back. Not holding my breath til I make it at least past 288 miles on the new motor ;). All jokes aside feels like its finally running right. What's everyone's oil pressure sitting at typically. This new motor is at 39 PSI at idle, and my old one pre-bearing failure was at like 31-32.
Spark plug wires. I guess they had some bad connectors or something but they came loose. Should have my car back tomorrow. At this point I'll start just beating on it and get all the kinks worked out.
C7 Z06 I think you meant to put. The ZL1 was a different supercharger slapped onto an LT4. The Z06 I don’t believe ever had hand built motors with the titanium valvetrain like the blackwings
From what I’ve learned on my kerfuffle is that it’s not the same motor and the hand building process sets it apart. The RO for my motor replacement came out to around 50k and the long block was about 25 of that
I mean the battery was disconnected for the longest time but there were definitely some things that were still remembered from the last ECU like the my mode settings
So the MAF was reading really rich. I’m hoping that it may be the sparkplugs just fouling up and that explains why it went from a slight stumble to a full blown stutter and misfires. But the question is why is it running rich.
I’m thinking something to do with sparking or fueling. It didn’t stutter as I picked it up but continually got a little bit worse over the course of a few hours. They told me it could have been break in miles but then the CEL popped
Welp drove up to the dealership for tint and the sputtering. Thought it was the MAF. Drove about a block down the street, sputtering increased and CEL popped. I’m gonna look at just lemoning this thing. Breaks my heart because I waited for so long for this car and I’ll probably never get another...
Dropping it off at the dealership right now for tint as well as the idle stutter. This isn’t normal. Typically when it stutters it’s accompanied by a tick coming from the front of the motor. If I go 0/2 for Cadillacs I’m gonna cry
Edit: here now, probably and hopefully just the MAF needs to be...
Yeah it’s smooth thru the RPM after I get past that 2k mark and I don’t feel any stuttering. Just freaks me out since the last time it kinda hesitated and sputtered it decided rod bearings weren’t important and left me out of a car for a month.
Put about 100 miles on it today. Feels a little bit lumpy at idle and stutters a little bit at 1-2k RPM accelerating. It is a 6MT and the dealership told me to just give it a bit more gas but after the last engine popped I just have no faith and all the anxiety now.
GM stated that I need to get my car back before any form of compensation to start. I guess corporate knows about the situation with my car. At least one, maybe two payments will be made for me and the warranty gets bumped up. I’m trying to push for them to get me a set of all seasons since we’re...
