Who knows. I'll just keep breaking things and they'll keep fixing it. That's what the warranty is for lol. I just hate that every time it breaks I get a buick encore loaner. Maybe it's their way of deterring me from breaking more things.
Been there tried that. GM basically laughed at me when I said I was considering it saying they'd gladly give me my money back but I'd not be seeing another blackwing allocation. As far as I'm aware right now the banks are closed and may never open again. I would have lemoned mine with the rod...
I think I need to take it to another dealership. I told them it was an alternator and they just replaced the battery and called it good. It died on me on the way home. Towed it back in and sure enough replacing the alternator fixed the problem. Weird. All good again. Every time I drive this car...
Update for y’all. Probably just a loose connector or something. Weird thing and even Cadillac was saying it shouldn’t, but it is running and driving just fine other than a CEL. It sits at 11.3 volts and I drove it 10 miles to the dealership. The battery light even went away. Who knows what’s up...
The battery quite simply won’t go past 11.3-4 volts. Had it on a jump box trying to push more power to it. I think it may just be toast. Gonna have a new battery put in it tomorrow. If that doesn’t fix it then I guess I’m carless for the holidays.
Of course the next month after having my engine replaced I now have a service charging system malfunction stating the vehicle may stall. It is colder than usual out here but still. I need some help here. Tried disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it, dropped to 10v upon restart and then...
@Carguyshu I think we both just got the short end of the stick regarding it. I've seen more issues with the fueling than my crankshaft issues.
@OldGoat I was the one who suffered the 288 mi failure. Mine was a manufacturing defect in the crankshaft. I have a 2023 and Shu has a 2022.
Check sparkplug wires. For some reason the LT4 has coil packs and then sparkplug wires running to the actual sparkplugs and those wires have come loose on a few of our cars. Mine went into the shop for a huge misfire after I just had the motor replaced and it turned out to be just the wires.
Cylinder 3 and 4 were the rod bearings that were devoured on my car. I would again just recommend for them to get you a new motor and let them figure out what went wrong with it. It's not your responsibility for their fuck up, especially if you've been out of your car for longer than a month.
As stupid as it sounds I was suffering from a misfire in my new motor after the new one was dropped in. Turns out the spark plug wires (because some genius decided that there still needs to be those on a car with coil packs) were loose and would slip off the connections. With the engine...
Well folks. Over the 500 mile hump. Did a little 3rd gear pull to celebrate and shed a tear.
Thanks for all the support. I’ll keep y’all in the loop on compensation and/or if she goes again. I think I’m in the clear though. Of course I picked up a rock chip on my front bumper though. Always...
Yeah I’ll have the oil changed before the 1000 mile mark. Trying to get it in tomorrow for it since I work at a dealership. It’s just a weird oil spec being 0W-40.
No idea who, they reused the supercharger lid which has the plaque on it. I’m debating getting one custom made for me if I’m the only one to suffer a failure like this to set it apart ;)
I think you’ll be fine. Oil pressures are hard to compare between auto and manual rolling since they’re each...
