I had a similar issue with a Camaro a few years back. It turns out from all of the body twist that the welds had let loose below the windshield on the firewall and allowed water to enter.

I doubt there is room for any hp gains. The one thing GM does is well is allow their performance vehicles to breath very well. So you might get 5hp....and then if the PCM is locked, it will just be a few key cycles before it learns down that extra 5hp.

I know from experience that your oil temp is supposed to get above 200F to evaporate any gasoline in your oil...and with a HPFP, it leaks fuel excessively into the oil during cold startup. And mine does not get above 192F.
