Demuro did a video selling his Defender - and mentioned the same issue - no parts available after a collission. He said Land Rover was buying cars back from customers rather than providing parts.
Yep, this is I. I had done the V academy about 4.5 years ago in an ATS-V manual - paid for it myself. I will say they have improved the school a lot since then. ATS-V was fun, but multiple cars had issues throughout the day and the interiors didn't hold up great. The 5BW I had this time had 13k...
That was a nice clean lap. Here is my best one (same day as you) - this was the 1st of the afternoon sessions, I beat my instructor's demo lap by hair, but it was a messy lap - overcooked turn 8 leading to terminal understeer. I feel like there was another 2-3 seconds still to be found (I...
It is just less direct, and a little mushy.
But once the initial shock wears off, it is totally fine. Just did a 400 trip on the car with some high speed cornering in low 30s Temps and I am overall happy.
Too bad these don't seem to be an option for the 5BW. When I bought my V Wagon (used) - it had a brand new set of these, and I ended up never taking them off, just drove them year around. I thought that were much better than the then current Michelin AS offerings.
Following up not that I have driven these for about 400 miles and in freezing temps. Once the initial shock of the steering feel wore off, I am actually liking these tires. Definitely require a more judicious throttle, but totally usable - and a bit comfier for the choppy winter roads. Still...
Thanks. I had that setup on my V2, but wasn't sure how to get behind that grounding post. Did the standard pigtail work or did you have to buy the one with the larger eyelets?
I decided to keep my Cooper All seasons on a spare set of OEM wheels for one winter and see if I end up using it. I bought the sensors off eBay (pn: 13538760) as take-offs from a new car. They cost me around $40 for the set (best offer). Looks like there are bunch of sellers on eBay selling...
I had a Ford Bronco ordered since last October for winter use, but over the summer I got fed up of waiting and cancelled the order - or so I thought. I then bought all the winter stuff for my 5BW. In a surprising twist, the Ford dealer never actually cancelled the order and it is now getting...
Best explanation I have seen. I ended up getting a set of used Graphite Wheels for winter use, but it would have been smarter and maybe cheaper if I just got the base wheels on the car then ordered bronze as a 2nd set later.
Is the bronze center cap for 5bw a new option for 23? Don't remember seeing that for 22. It adds some package that includes black lug nuts and increases the price by 1k (!) but the summary does not show what package this is.

Debadged and went monochrome front/rear. Maybe still not a sleeper with the color and plate, but I like the clean look.
