    Default Hello! *echo echo echo*

Hasn't been much activity round these parts in...ohhhh...a LONG time. But what the hell, I'll fire off a new thread anyways.

I'm a new VSport owner. Just picked up a (CPO) 2017 VSport Premium Luxury, triple black. 28K miles.
Since it's going to be my daily driver and sit outside for the rest of it's life here in the Midwest, I'm probably going to have it ceramic coated. Once that's done and lookin' purtier than new, I'll post some pics.

One of the first things I'm gonna do is take it to my local dyno shop...just for shits & grins. Give me a baseline.
Then I might look to have an oil catch can installed. Apparently there is concern with direct injection engines, especially with turbos, that you get carbon build up on valves, and also start to coat your intercoolers with oil residue, which in turns lowers their efficiency.

That's about it for this post. Maybe we'll see some new activity in this forum. Maybe not.

    Default Oil catch can

    Hi.
I have a 2015 Vsport and looked into installing an oil catch can.
The PCV system is not that straight forward. After I watched the video
below I thought about how much oil does my car use in between oil changes?
Im older and I donít tach it up that much . I donít use more than 3 or 4
ounces in 5 to 6,000 miles. I have the oil changed at the dealership and
go by the maintenance minder . At 20 percent life I bring it in. I had two
friends( we are all retired) that work at GM dealerships and both stated
that they do not know of any big problems with our engine .
I asked my service advisor about if they recommend a cleaning for the intake and valves.
I was clearly told that there was no recommended service at that time.
I realize I said a lot the short of it is I would not install one.
If you are going to pursue it please look at Tracy Lewis Performance.
All catch can are not the same.
I hope the link below works.
