9,000 miles after first oil change. Apparently very common. Anyone else dealing with this?

Lifters? If so, then yes, it is pretty common.

I've followed it on the Tahoe Yukon forum for years. My generation of Tahoe only had 8 of the collapsible lifters, the newer engines have 16 collapsible lifters.

Escalade V does not have AFM. It just shut off on the highway and the dealer said it needs a new motor.

Interesting, the CT5BW motor has dynamic fuel management and I'd (apparently wrongly) assumed that the LT4 in the Escalade-V shared that.

seems all LT4 motors have the parts not all cars with them are activated
