Yes, they told me I had to get the transmission replaced. Took it to them to get it replaced about a month ago. Still feels the same. Always has a bit of a grind into 2nd
I agree with your recommendation and I have an appointment on the 22nd. I already took it to 2 dealers. One dealer straight up lied and said that it's fine when they didn't even drive it and the next dealer told me they replaced the transmission but it feels the same. I'm just trying to get an...
Update: Just noticed that if I slowly pull the shifter out of 2nd when moving, it makes a horrible grinding sound (clutch is pressed all the way down) Doesn’t occur when the car is not moving.
I have a CT4 BW and initially noticed that 2nd gear was hard to engage even when warm. I started to realize that the gear lever slides into 3rd and 4th easily on downshifts AFTER the revs have been matched on the engine (without double clutching). Without rev matching it goes in but not smooth...
Been trying to learn how to heel and toe in the CT4 BW and from what I can tell the throttle pedal is too low to blip unless you're braking very hard (mostly done on a track or emergency situations). Am I doing something wrong here or is that just how the pedals are placed in this car? Has...
This is my first tr6060. I have driven other manuals that were easier to engage gears in albeit they were not track oriented cars like the blackwings. Maybe I just need to be a bit more aggressive into 2nd.
I only have a problem going into 2nd (upshift and downshift). Sometimes it only goes into 1st halfway but I nudged it a little harder than usual and it seems fine. All others seem relatively fine, albeit I have not shifting extremely fast. I have not bled the clutch since I was under the...
Not sure if "notchy" is the right word (english is not my first language). I meant that the transmission doesn't go into 2nd very easily. The issue is more apparent when its colder however its never really "buttery" smooth even when warm unless I upshift above 3500 rpm or downshift so the revs...
Has anyone used redline D4 ATF for the manual transmission in the blackwings? I'm considering this for using the car in a cold climate to eliminate the notchy shifting. I don't plan on taking it to the track at all.
It doesn't go into gear easily when running. Service manual said to check it with the engine off as well as on. I have shown it to a dealer but they seemed pretty shady so I'm going elsewhere.
The reason I asked is because I suspect there may be a synchro issue. Service manual talked about seeing if it went into all gears with the engine off. Mine does not but I wanted to know if it was a common characteristic of the TR6060. Hence the question...
I have a CT4 BW and I started to notice at around 1200 miles that when I'm stopped at a signal and try to go into first gear, it sometimes just pops out back into neutral with a quick grind sound. I presume this is because it didn't go all the way into first gear but this only started happening...
What's the lowest/most likely to scrape part on the CT4V Blacking? Its my first time driving a low car so I'm not sure which entry ramps I can go through and which ones are too steep.
Did anyone change the transmission fluid to anything other than the OEM fluid? I live in Boston and drive in the city for a significant amount of time so it takes a while for everything to warm up. The 1-2 shift is very hard when cold unless I double clutch—then its very smooth— or if I shift at...
