What did you do to your Blackwing today?

I understand the car alerts you if the blinker is left on bc I accidentally a friend of mine did that.

    The Blackwing Spotting Thread

Just saw my 5BW twin late this afternoon northbound on US1 just south of Sanford, NC. Even had almost the exact same plate as me but from TN. As far as I can tell, the only difference was their sunroof. (I don't have one.) Dunno if it was MT or auto, tho.

Would you recommend this as a "family Corvette"?

IMHO, the ONLY downside for this as a family vehicle is the lack of a spare tire. It's easily remedied by getting one of the spare tire kits from ModernSpare but it'll cut into your trunk space & then the ability to put a large stroller back there.

    5BW daily driver

I kinda DD my '23. I travel ALOT for work. Picked her up in Albany, NY in Jan '23 & have since put 23k miles on her. (I also have a C8 that I got brand new in Sept '22 & have 24k on that.) Mostly highways & back country roads in the sandhills area of North Carolina with very little traffic. The...

    Spring Mountain Impressions

My 'rents retired to LV from NY in 2001. I go there regularly to visit & I do not gamble (& neither do my 'rents). Someone's recommendation on a Circue show is spot on but best seats are sold well in advance. The Mob Museum, Atomic Museum & Neon Museum (at night) are all worth it as well. The...

    Cheap "Mod" Upper Trunk Liner

Fits my MY23 5BW without any issues. As you can see fom the photo, the cut out for the trunk light lines up perfectly. Mind you, it doesn't come with any instructions so you have to figure out as you go how to install it. But if you're at all mechanically inclined, it's pretty straight forward...

    Cheap "Mod" Upper Trunk Liner

Installed mine today. Oddly, only needed to use 2 of supplied fasteners. Only I and the ones that know will ever know it's there.

    Checking Fuel Level?

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but has anyone figured out how to check the fuel level withOUT having to turn on the engine? Pressing the Start button to turn the vehicle on doesn't turn on the screen to allow me to see the Fuel Gauge. I used to have the Cadillac App on my phone so I could...

    2025 5BW updates

Am I the only one bothered by the split up hood? Why can't it be just one piece down to the top of the grill? Was hoping the refresh would fix that visual flaw. Once seen/noticed, it can't be unseen.

    CT4-V Cadillac vs. GM Dealerships

To the OP: My most recent purchases were the first time I ever ordered a vehicle new & that I speced out (mostly) to my liking -- 5BW & C8. (I say mostly bc there were constraints on all sorts of things bc supply chain issues secondary to COVID-19.) I placed the order for my C8 at local Chevy...

I see a lot of people not liking the sunroof option

I speced out my 5BW without the sunroof bc I didn't want to deal with yet another point of possible failure in the vehicle's life span during my ownership. Moreover, if I want sun, I have the C8 HTC to drive. I've had a sunroof in previous vehicles bc that's how they were at the dealer's lot...

    Personalized license plate

I put the bumper sticker on as a joke for a track event & have since kept it for fun.

No cylinder deactivation on the 5Wing Manual transmission?

    Road Trash

The Interwebs are all over the place on this. But thinking about it scientifically, they should not work. Any sound created from these things will vary at the very least on speed of the vehicle & placement. Think of blowing into a whistle hard or just a little bit. The pitch & loudness all...

    Spring Mountain Impressions

With these vehicles, handling is up to the Nut Behind the Wheel. At SM, while I was definitely not the fastest driver there, not one of the 4BW's could keep up with the drivers in the fastest grp -- who were all in a 5BW. (Not even the fastest in an auto 4BW could best my time in the 5BW 6MT.)...
