Finally got this apart. Agree it takes A LOT more effort than I'd imagine. I tried the Raceseng shift knob, liked it but didn't love it, so I reverted back to stock shift knob for now. Thanks all for the help.
Yes, already read these exact instructions. Was unable to duplicate the results, could not remove shift knob from boot. Plastic tabs did not budge at all. Was worried if I strained any further would break the plastic.
So I can take the boot/knob off from the console: I completed this step already. I can NOT figure out how to remove the knob the boot, per my original post. That's what I'm asking help with.
Looks great.
So I could use some help. I bought a Raceseng shift knob. I figured out how to remove the shift knob/boot from the center console. However I cannot figure out how to remove the shift knob from the boot...any help/pictures would be appreciated. I've tried pushing inwards and...
I purchased a set of 18 inch wheels and snow tires from TireRack. I purchased the Forged One Competition FF05 wheels, really enjoy the look.

Unfortunate turn of events, but I won't be able to attend August 28-29 Spring Mountain event so there's one seat open up for that day if anyone is interested in contacting them.
I had to make an official claim with GM and Spring Mountain for an extension and it had to be approved by GM, otherwise my one year time was up May 2023 and I would've been out of luck to register. I had to prove (with emails) that I tried to register sooner in the one year time frame but it...
I purchased my car May 2022. I waited months before trying to register in December 2022. Couldn't get in for several months, needed a GM extension and finally got in August 2023. Book early is my suggestion.
Maybe off topic for this thread but I'll ask anyway. I'm going to Spring Mountain August 28-29th. I hear the track day ends at 4pm, however my flight isn't until 1030pm, which is not ideal but all I could get. Figured I would take the opportunity to see some nature or something before my...
My opinion as a former BMW M3 owner (E46, E90, and F80), and jumped to the CT4 Blackwing. I absolutely LOVED my E46 M3 and my E90 M3; the F80 was a "great car" but I did not love it. The F80 was missing the sound I enjoyed, and the turbos somewhat killed what I thought a M car should be. With...
Keep the details. It's literally the reason for the special edition. If you're going to take the decals off, just buy a "base" Blackwing and save the money. My two cents.
Another nit pick I have realized....the red stripe on my steering wheel is a little crooked/off center. The left hand and right hand borders of the stripe are not parallel. Left side is straight, right side is a little crooked. I hate it. I see it all day. I told my dealer but they offered...
So I may be able to help. I have a CT4BW, but hopefully it's similar. On the CT4 the cabin filter is inside the glove box. Had to open the glove box, "pinch" both sides so it drops down and then access to the glove box. If you want message me and I can text you some pictures. Took me less...
