    Headlights suck

My last two Audis weren't much better and yes, they suck. US headlight regulations! Need to adapt European regs.

    BRAKE PADS FOR TRACK DAY

Another vote for OEM pads & Castrol SRF fluid. Not to hijack the thread but are you using the extra brake ducts provided and (most importantly) do you have to remove the disks to install them as indicated in the instructions? I ran in cool weather last year and brake cooling wasn't an issue...

2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Brougham Edition Sets Sail With Classic Caddy Cues

The text description left me in tears I was laughing so hard.

    Quirks of my 5BW

I assume you don't have an Apple phone and I know little about Android phones but the car supports both Apple CarPlay and Google. I used the Cadillac navigation once and it took me around in circles out in the country. I always use Apple Maps or Waze in Apple CarPlay so it is on the screen. You...

    Hello

If you scroll to Engine Maintenance in the 5BW, it shows both Total Engine Hours(like a boat) and Revs/10,000 which gives total revs for the engine.

GM Press Release: Introducing the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing

Just curious, what features did you have to provide a cc number to activate? I didn't have to do that with my 22 BW5. You nailed the parking package! I wear progressive lens glasses and there is no way I can focus easily on the rear view mirror camera. And the truck release rarely works. I...

GM Press Release: Introducing the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing

The PR blurb states that a "service plan" $$$$ will be required for Google products. Will the 2025 5BW support Apple Car Play? I am trying to talk the wife into me trading my 2022 5BW in for a 2025. I love the new PDR and can live with the rest but I am not paying for a crappie user interface...

    Hello

They can't be "over reved" since there is a fuel cutoff and yes I have hit it a few times to save an upshift. You can force a mechanical over rev by downshifting a manual car into too low a gear and letting out the clutch but that should never happen if the driver is reasonable competent. But...

    Quality Dealer Service

If you are in the Indianapolis area, can not recommend Lockhart Cadillac more. They know how to take care of a Blackwing.

    Floor jack for ct5v blackwing

Air Jack Has anyone tried one of these? Asking for an "old" guy who is always looking for an easier way to do things. It looks easy to use and might work well for changing tires / brake jobs / etc. at home.

    5BW daily driver

I have learned to take my lunch break at the nearest gas station on track days. :)

What did you all drive back in the day?

First Car - When I was 15, I talked our dad into buying us a 1969 Z-28. I remember the day when a friend called to let me know that a truck had arrived at our small town Chevrolet dealer with a blue Z-28. I believe it was in November of 1968. Loved that car but between my brother and I, well it...

    Advice for A Daily

Audi S4 / B6 manual. Supercharged, 6 speed (sound familiar) with a set of all weather tires. I had one and it is super in the snow and liked it way more than the S6 that replaced it (which is an S7 with headroom in the back seat). But I would love an RS7 if I could afford one! :)

I noticed that and wondered about it as well.

Live data screen in the center stack, which shows lap time details while on-track, including lap delta That would be nice. You can presently get current lap time in the small square on the right side of the dash but it is small and there is no delta info.

    Post your dirty photos

Thanks! Yes, they are BBS CCR wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 tires. Didn't want to go to 20" wheels, particularly for winter tires but had no choice back then. But I did love the CCR wheels.

    The Blackwing Spotting Thread

I am pretty sure I spotted a black BW on Northfield Drive in Brownsburg, Indiana this morning. Anyone owning up to it being them?

4 degrees and some snow. Why drive something boring when you have this? :) It cleans up nicely.

    Separating CT4-V CT5-V CT6-V Blackwings

Seriously! I drive my 5BW 6M every day, 12 months a year and track it regularly. Yes, I am 71 and I couldn't have afforded the car when I was younger mainly because I spent all my money of formula car racing. :) You might be shocked at just what many of the 5BW 6M owners do with their cars. We...

    Separating CT4-V CT5-V CT6-V Blackwings

"I think a lot of it is due to Rob doing all that incredible work with the order tracking. I think about 90 percent of the activity on this forum was harassing Rob about order status at that time." Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner. .
