You didn't give the option of no mods. My plan is to use the V only for trips in good weather. To date have owned the V for 4 months and out of those 120 days, drove it 14 on trips that averaged 250 miles. This way when it is 25 years old and has 150,000 miles, it will be a true survivor class collectable, with it looking and driving like a one year old car. Stop and go commute driving in all weather, getting in and out of the car 6 times a day every day, is what ages the car. Being kept in a climate controlled garage and driven on trips a couple days a month will make for a very good investment 25 years out. And these cars are going to go up in value for the same reason numbers matching Mopar cars with the 426 hemi are so high. Back in the 60's, $1400 for the hemi was unheard of, so very low numbers. With the V representing less than 4% of CTS production (folks have a hard time wrapping their head around the idea that you could buy 2 CTS for the cost of one V), and the stick V at 0.4%, it doesn't take Jay Leno blabbing on Popular Mechanics that the V is his choice of a future collectable. I have plenty of other cars for driving, racing, and modding, the V will not be modded.

My LRW is the "family" car - no mods - if you don't count the spare tire kit and the fire extinguisher mount.
