The ccbs aren't even that much better in my opinion. I had a C6Z with The carbon ceramic brakes and I feel like that car didn't stop any better than my ZL1 1LE on the same tracks. The carbon ceramic rotors only lasted me about a year and a half and roughly about 15 track days for they got to the...
Can you post photos of your car with those weeks?. I found a post you placed on the "What did you do to your BW" thread but the pictures are very low res.
Did you go with the 9.5" or 10" rears? They look great. I'm torn between the Anthracite and Bronze Wheels for my black CT4BW.
I'm curious if the 10" wheels are more "concave" than the 9.5 or if it's just the same concavity, just a tad wider.
I saw your car in another thread, I have been eyeing the bronze wheels for my car. Mine is black and tried to do some Photoshop magic to get an idea. This is the best I could do. Deciding between the bronze or silver.
I agree with you there. The TPC tires have been great for me. They are an amazing dual purpose tire. They behave amazing on track and are comfortable on the road. I still have 6/32" tread after 2 track days (twelve 20m sessions) with 6000miles on the odometer.
I ask because the Motorsport Gold...
Hey Andy,
I saw that the recommended rear size was 10". Can you provide photos of your rear tire fitment? The 275 rear tire isn't too stretched to fit the extra 0.5" is it? Curious how th OEM tires fit or if I would need to upsize to a 285.
Curious because the motorsport gold color is only...
Very curious about your results as I also live in California with crummy 91 octane.
Thinking about doing a Cam and eventually Group B unlock for a Blended E tune.
Are you able to get any 60-130 times on your Gas tune for reference?
I've only done east with the the Blackwing. It handles well for it's size so it should do ok on west. West is a lot like Buttonwillow where you have to rely a lot on momentum. Either way, no matter how good you are in the caddy, you'll always have someone in a S2000 or Miata pass you up on those...
I'm in the same boat. I have tracked my Blackwing three times already, once at Buttonwillow and twice at Thunderhill here in Cali. All three times I had my JB4 essentially turned off. I feel like the stock power is more than enough for track and didn't want to run into timing/heat issues with...
Depending on gas quality you can get close.
Eventually when my warranty is up I'll move over to a full ECU Tune. For right now the JB4 suits my needs because I can remove the module before any dealer check in.
