Isn't it the same LT4 as in the BW CT5?
OP, good luck with your sale.
I went for a ride in a Z51 C8 last month when I was at the track (in my C6) and it was an impressive car. I'm sure that the Z06 is even more impressive.
That is an awesome price, congrats!
Well, this was last September that I bought it, so it's past tense. The dealer insisted that they select the shipper, I presume for liability reasons (although the car is sold at that point and really not their problem). It took a while, as it always does...
The locking differential in our cars has clutches. The clutch on the transmission is outside of the fluid.
Plus the gears in a tranny are all lined up, where as in the diff, they go in - you guessed it - different directions.
That said, as long as you use the correct fluid, it won't hurt...
I thought about this on Saturday and was wondering if the OP has an update for us?
I was driving the wife's 2024 X5, idling at a light when the car starting shuddering horribly and a "drivetrain malfunction" message appeared. Long story short - the car at 7500 miles - dropped a valve. A new...
First, congrats! Second, yes, lots of ex-BMW owners here, and AFAIK, none of us regret the move.
IMHO there is no need to replace the transmission fluid. The engine and diff have shearing forces that cause wear, and therefore there is more break-in debris and stress on the parts. The tranny...
CT5? That's pretty darn exceptional!
One of the best deals (on a BMW) that I ever got was on December 30. It seems to be true, the best time to buy is end of the month, end of the quarter is even better and end of the year is best. Depending, natch, on the brand and what kind of promotions...
I believe that CT5s are still selling at sticker or above, although you might have better luck with a discount on the auto than the manual.
But my motto has always been, it never hurts to try. Make a serious, respectful offer and see what happens. You will need to decide which car to make the...
LOL. I don't recognize the track, but my first HPDE was at Charlotte/Lowe's/HomeDepot raceway many (many!) years ago in my C4 Corvette. I got lapped, lapped my friends, by a kid in a Camaro. So I was humbled early on. I did, however, get to experience boiling brake fluid with the associated...
A few thoughts:
a) I love your avatar
B) that looks like a killer garage
3) cool tools too (alignment jig)
iv) I love VIR too, but I ain't gonna do 160 in a street car
I'm just a pussy, that's OK, I've accepted it.
